I'm 39 weeks pregnant today. Here are some thoughts about this stage of pregnancy.
Talk about massive swelling. I'm swollen all the way up to my knees. My ankles actually look deformed. My hands are also swollen. They are practically useless. Thanks carpal tunnel! The good news is I was able to suck it up and paint my toenails, so though they are deformed they are manicured. My research tells me that the swelling will go down within two weeks of delivery... by means of massive sweating. Is nothing easy?
Why am I so hungry? Will Owen be 10 pounds? I can't stop thinking about macaroni and cheese, chocolate chip cookies, milkshakes, doughnuts, and various other delicious things. Don't worry, Nick doesn't let me exist only on mac and cheese. (Sad Face)
This baby better be born soon- because nothing fits anymore. Going out in public in an outfit that isn't embarrassing becomes more and more challenging. Yesterday I asked Nick if my outfit looked okay and his response was "Kaley, this is Mississippi" ...
So I changed.

Kaley, I remember at the end Matt making comments along the lines of, "what are you wearing? you look like a homeless person." Just think! after Owen is born you will leave the hospital looking only 6 months pregnant. When I was told that I thought I was gonna ?!#$* slap the lady.
